We have an argument around here about VR: is it a world-shattering user interface innovation or just another multimedia illustration format? In our VR seminars, we tend to focus on virtual reality as interactive artwork, "participative video" as I called it in my VR article. For publishing, we should probably leave it at that; let the tech-types ponder the deeper man/machine interface issues.

Having said that, there's an article in this month's WIRED about a fascinating 3D publishing idea. I'll hunt up the piece and post it in this thread.
