Bookmarks or Landmarks?

I work for a web design house in London. I make it my job to trawl the web, looking for leads and ugly web sites to pounce upon, to redesign in our own London style. My query is that one can actually "Tell" a USA web site from a UK web site, or a HK web site especially. Is the utterly global Cyberculture of last year beginning to fragment and nationalise, to pander to the needs of iyts own individual home markets What happened to global?
