Canned web software: $35 to $365 for server-side programs

We haven't tried one yet, but the Clickables web site sells web site enhancement programs like ad managers, chat rooms, bulletin boards, database routines and shopping cart systems cheap, most for less than $200.

In a world of clip art, stock photography and pre-packaged HTML templates, I guess the idea of low cost canned software makes sense. It's just that I remember the days when programming talent was expensive. Most of the Clickables packages cost less than a three martini lunch. I guess they make it up in volume.
