According to a very authoritative chart created by Forrester Research and quoted on the Advertising Age Web site, the initial design and development and the ongoing design fees for a site run in the ballpark of $42,000 to $440,000. That's a big ballpark.

The Forrester chart lists almost two dozen other price ranges including my favorite: "Rights fees for outside content: $10,000 to $1,000,000." Well that clears things up. Now we know what interactive products cost to build: A very little or a very lot or maybe somewhere in between.
