Interesting point. Maybe the brand name publications will be joined by other kinds of brand names: TIME, Inc. and ESPN might similar brand awareness as Steven King, Michael Kinsley, IBM Research Dept, and the Boston Computer Society. The dearest commodity in the Information Age is the attention of an audience, and to the extent that new entities are able to build a brand, they will join traditional publications competing for attention.
